Bhind city is situated on National Highway number 96 at a distance of 75 Kms from Gwalior, 35 Kms from Etawah and 60 Kms from Morena. It is the last district of Madhya Pradesh on MP - UP border. This district have five major rivers namely Chambal, Kwari, Sindh, Vaisali and Pahunj along with many other small rivers and lakes.
The ravines of Chambal and Kwari have created a dense forest due to which it is also known as Chambal valley. These ravines had been heavens for dacoits for many years that's why Bhind was called 'Mini Punjab' for many years.
Nowadays, many programs are running in the district to eradicate dacoits. Industrialization of Bhind district is one of the major operation being undertaken. As a result of this, Bhind district has become one of the fast developing districts of Madhya Pradesh with a big industrial area named Malanpur industrial area having an investment of about 50 billion with Cadbury's, Atlas cycles and other major companies.
